LifewithCatherine Media is an initiative by artist and author Catherine Booth to create and invest in meaningful art and storytelling as a medium to promote wellness and hope.
My book Survivor is a dialog on the strength and vulnerability we can discover in ourselves navigating illness and the medical system.
I hosted a workshop through New West Artists with Purpose Society for their Art Through Addition Workshop: Tell Your Own Story. The goal was to explore the hold addiction can have on us and start to take back their power through creating new narratives, exploring the self, and sharing life lessons as a means of connection and belonging.
Another highlight of this project is the very excited buyer who curated my painting called "The Garden", which accessed the restorative feelings of being in a botanical garden at night surrounded by the sights, sounds and smells with a backdrop of the star-filled sky.
I have started to showcase my paintings in local art shows, details on the events tab. I will be singing live at the Columbia Square show opening event.
I closed out my podcast LifewithCatherine to focus on visual and written mediums.
Life Goals:
- Speaking engagements and book tour.
- Work with New West Artists to support community initiatives.
- To be reminded that kindness is about who you are, not how the other person behaves.
- Write and compose songs.
